Random Thoughts: Spring, Snakes and Writing

Spring is around the corner.

Looking at the ten-day forecast, we're in for a rollercoaster ride of 60s to 70s for the highs, at least in my part of Texas. The only downside is there are several more days of rain in the forecast. Rain doesn't bother me, but I hate driving in it especially in the early morning. I would so much rather stay at home with a cup of coffee and a good book or my writing. But unfortunately, the day job demands my attendance and attention five days a week...rain or shine.

The coming spring brings a new worry.

Snakes.

A few months ago I told you about the snake that was in my house. DH killed it (yes, he killed it because it was poisonous) and the next day he fixed the doors.

Unfortunately, I can't shake the fear of finding another snake in the house. I know it's a bit ridiculous and the odds of finding another snake are slim, but I worry because I know that there are rattlesnakes and copperheads out here besides the coral snake that came into the house uninvited.

I can deal with a lot of things, but snakes are not on that list.

I'm working on paperback versions of MATED HEARTS and PROTECTED HEARTS. One of my goals this year is to get all of my books into paperback versions. I will post more information when they go live.

As for writing, I'm working on Hank's story.

Happy reading and writing to all.
