It has rained most of the day, and I've had the pleasure of sitting here watching it. I'm thankful for the rain. Summer hasn't even started and we are already in water restrictions--basically a drought situation.
I can sit here and watch the rain.
I can write and publish a story.
DH has a job he likes.
I can go to the store and buy what I want (within reason and budget constraints).
I can cast a vote.
All of this is possible because of the men and women who have fought for an idea...We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal;
that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights;
that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness (Declaration of Independence)...all of these things are possible because of the men and women who continue to serve in the Armed Forces.
