A lion’s pride isn’t defined only by those he commands but also resides with his hair, so when a human dares to butcher Arik’s mane, he gets his revenge—and claims her as his mate.

A billionaire CEO and leader of the largest East Coast pride, Arik is a ladies man and a lion. Used to commanding others, and obedience, he can’t believe it when a hairdresser with tempting curves chops off a hunk of his precious mane.

But her biggest mistake is in running from him.

Run as fast as you can, little mouse, because this cat loves to chase—and pounce.

Oh, and he also likes to nibble on tender bits. What he doesn’t expect is to fall for a human woman, a woman who can make the impossible happen because everyone knows lions can’t purr…until now.

Hello, my name is Eve and I am a Canadian author who loves to write hot romance, usually with hot shifters, cyborgs or aliens. I should warn you that I possess a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing.

I love to write, and while I don't always know what my mind is going to come up with next, I can promise it will be fun, probably humorous and most of all romantic, because I love a happily ever after.

Thanks so much for coming by and checking me out. If you'd like to know more, read some excerpts or find out what's coming next, then please visit me at http://www.EveLanglais.com

Random Thoughts and Lauren's Mate

It seems like yesterday, I was writing down my goals for the New Year, but here we are, and five months are gone. It's almost scary as to how fast the year is moving by us.

I finish Lauren's Mate, Bryant Station Curves, Book 5. In less than 24 hours of uploading the ebook to the various distributors, the book went live. I hope you enjoy Lauren and Adam's story. In a few days, the paperback version will be up. I'm working on the formatting for it. I always get the nervous butterflies flapping around my stomach when I upload a new story.

You would think I was used to doing it by now, but with each story, I worry. Is the story good enough? Will my readers like it?  Could I have created a better cover? All sorts of thoughts run through my head.

I think part of it, is the stress from the day job. Several major projects have finally been completed and we are seeing the results of a couple of them, so I can finally breathe. I keep hoping one day, I won't have to rely on the day job to earn a living.

A few days ago, a reader asked about book 2 of the Reluctantly Undead series. No, I don't have the book written yet, but I am working on the outline.

I'm also working on the outlines for book 2 of the Briary Creek Wolves series and book 6 of the Bryant Station Curves series.

I don't have any dates for the stories. I really need to sit down with the calendar and plan out the rest of the year and set up some due dates for myself.

I have been working on one of my personal goals. For the past five, almost six weeks, DH and I have been on a high protein, low carb diet. We have weekly weigh-ins and strict guidelines we have to follow, but it is working. I've lost 15 pounds so far. My clothes are fitting different, and I have been able to wear a few things that were too tight.

I'll be honest. This diet has been tough on me. There are a lot of pre-packaged drinks and foods you use. DH uses most of them and has lost almost 30 pounds.

I cannot use the majority of the pre-packaged foods because they contain sucralose, an artificial, zero calories sweetener that I am allergic to. So, I have to find alternatives which is not easy since sucralose is popping up in lots of stuff. I make my own protein drinks using plain unsweetened whey protein and low calorie soy milk. It's not so bad, just not "convenient" like the prepackaged drinks, but at least I know what is in my drink.
